What is interesting about this is how the genderless rabbit heads changes the drama of the painting entirely. Where the original has a man, a woman, and another woman and a baby, this one looks less tense, more like a wedding shot or a visit to the grandparents. Cool.

ha, love your take

I don't know if you read all of the comments here, but the previous person said it reminded them of David Lynch's "Inland Empire"... so I looked the trailer up on youtube... there's a scene with rabbit-costumed people hanging out in a living room, add to that Lynch's soundtrack and it makes for a bizarre-feeling scene.. maybe much like this
